I've decided to change how we're doing the exchange this year, so if you want to do it again, it'll be a little different. Not everyone followed the rules of spending at least $10-15 and getting it to their person before Christmas. To be honest, I don't want to be in the middle of that again, it stressed me out a lot. So I've come up with a new plan that will hopefully work better. We can post on here what our favorite fandoms are and simply match ourselves up with someone else. That way if someone doesn't follow the rules this time around, it will be up to their exchange partner to follow up on that. In early Fall I'll bring this up again and see who is interested. :) Also, if I have time, I was thinking of devising a fun little questionnaire to help with the process. It should give the person who has your name a good idea of what you like and it should allow for some funny/creative/unique gifts. I can start this process even earlier if people think they'll need the extra time to do a craft. Personally I'd love to go the craft route this time and come up with something brilliant. For example, I made Lea a little miniature Harry Potter trunk filled with items of his for Christmas. It was a lot of fun coming up with stuff, but it did take a lot of time and planning. I definitely want more time this year to do something like that again. Anyway, please post your thoughts and what you'd like out of the exchange if you want to do it again. Thanks! :)
Love the photos! Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of a questionaire next time so your buddy has a good idea of what you like. And I like the idea of going the crafty route too. Of course that's what you'll always get with me.
