Screenbid Grimm Auction - rare items from the TV show!

The Grimm auction put on by Screenbid ran from 7pm on March 31st (timed to start with the airing of the Grimm series final episode), to 11pm on April 6th. There were so many neat items but they were just way out of the price range I was willing to spend. I was fortunate enough to bid on and win three different lots that I split with another fan.

Two of the lots were Portland Police Bureau case files and paperwork - including one authored by Officer Wu AND one authored by Detective Hank Griffin!

Detective Hank Griffin's Case files:

Officer Wu's Missing Persons List:

The third lot I won was a bunch of Multnomah Hotel items. I was super excited about this lot because I am a huge Portland history buff. The hotel they filmed at is actually called the Embassy Suites Downtown. But the hotel was originally called the Multnomah Hotel! The original Multnomah Hotel existed from 1912 to 1963 in that building. In 1995 the building was renovated and became the Embassy Suites Downtown hotel. If you note the address on the props, they list a fictional address of 319 SW 1st Street. The address of the Embassy Suites is 319 SW Pine Street.

This lot is from Season 4, Episode 2. It's when Trubel tails their suspect into the Multnomah Hotel:

You can see in the photo below that they even labeled his room key correctly: Room 402. And the notepad is the same one the actor used in the scene when he wrote down the phone number and address!

Items I purchased at the Grimm TV Show Warehouse Sale in Portland! - PART 2 - MONROE'S CHRISTMAS STUFF

And I saved the best for last... this was so awesome, it needed it's own blog post. If someone asked me what my favorite key props from Grimm were I'd definitely have to say the map keys, the books from Aunt Marie's trailer, the ornate glass and metal shelf lamps from Nick and Juliet's home, and some of the cool bottles from the Exotic Tea & Spice Shop. But if I could pick one thing to own props from it would definitely be some of Monroe's Christmas decorations.

Like Monroe I love Christmas and go a little crazy decorating for it every year. It's one of the many reasons why I loved his character so much. To actually own some of the pieces they used to decorate his place for THREE Christmas episodes... that was pretty much best thing I purchased out of all of the Grimm props. It was AH-MAY-ZING to discover that there were actually some of the Christmas decorations left on the last day. I dug through and found some awesome pieces and I was thrilled to discover I can place them all in various screenshots from the different holiday scenes! Some of the pieces I have were in all three of the Christmas episodes!

The three episodes were:
Episode 107 - Let Down Your Hair
Episode 308 - Twelve Days of Krampus
Episode 407 - The Grimm Who Stole Christmas

My favorite item is this adorable little vintage house. We have ones similar to this that we put under our tree every year when I was a child. The coolest thing about this house is that it was in every single holiday episode, starting with Season 1.

Season 1, Episode 7:

Season 3, Episode 8:

Season 4, Episode 7:

The other really cool item that I love is one of the light up ceramic houses that surround Monroe's train track. I believe it's also in each of the three episodes but it was hard to get pics of it in each ep.

Season 4, Episode 7:

I also have the mistletoe piece that hung in Monroe's hallway, right near the front door entrance. You can see this when Rosalee first comes home and discovers all of the Christmas decorations.

Season 3, Episode 8:

I also found a bunch of ornaments and other trim that was used mostly on Monroe's ceiling, but also to trim doorways and windows.

Season 3, Episode 8:

Season 4, Episode 7:

I also have a bag of older glass ornaments that I believe were used on the tree. They look similar to the vintage style ornaments seen on the tree, but I don't have clear enough shots of the tree to match them up.

Items I purchased at the Grimm TV Show Warehouse Sale in Portland! - PART 1

Here are the items that I purchased at the Grimm Warehouse Liquidation Sale on March 19th!

As I was shopping, I did look for items that I could match up with a favorite character, or episode, or location if possible. But since the items were super cheap, I also bought a bunch of things that I could use for my home and for crafting. I found a bunch of display racks from convenience store scenes that I plan to use for some upcoming craft fairs. I also found some cool lamps that I liked, and some glass jars for my craft stuff. It ended up being a super deal and cheaper than I would pay in store for many of the items that I bought.

While some of the items I purchased are clearly marked with a description and/or episode number, some are not. I wanted to see if I could place any of the items so I decided to do a Grimm rewatch. First I went through all of my items and took pictures of them so that I could reference them as I watched. Then I went through the episodes of Grimm to see if I could spot any of the items I had purchased. For those I could match up, I took a screenshot of the scene and then marked a red box around the item so you can see where it is in the scene. Most of the items that I bought were items that I could actually identify as used on screen during an episode! I am so excited about this!!

Here are the items I kept for my collection:

Ok, this is one of my favorite finds from the warehouse sale. I absolutely fell in love with this Art Deco looking lampshade when I found it. I was just sad there weren't more because I was dying to put these all over my house.

I had no idea it is one of the lampshades from Nick and Juliet's kitchen!!! Here it is in a scene during the first season. It's the scene when the ogre is attacking Nick and Juliet throws the boiling pot of water on him.

Of course I had to grab a couple of Hank's LPs...

Got a cool File from the Portland Police Bureau...about the North End Armed Robbery
